Air Conditioning Maintenance (Level 1)
Entry Level
This course is designed to develop a person with limited knowledge of the HVAC industry into a Level 1 maintenance technician that can effectively, safely and profitably perform the required tasks. The complementary course is “Level 1 Maintenance Heating.”
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Have current, basic knowledge of the HVAC industry
- Clean an air conditioner or heat pump and document its performance
- Identify any equipment performance issues
- Use a set of gauges and have an understanding of the refrigeration loop
- Test static pressure and have a basic knowledge of airflow
- Perform all tasks safely
- Properly use all tools associated with these tasks
- Be proficient in air conditioning maintenance in the residential market
